9/7/2023 0 Comments Medal of honor coopWASHINGTON - An Army Ranger, who lost his right hand and suffered shrapnel wounds after throwing an armed grenade away from his fellow soldiers, will be the second living Medal of Honor recipient from the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Petry, now serving as part of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 75th Ranger Regiment, at Fort Benning, Ga., will receive the Medal of Honor from President Barack Obama on July 12.
